As temperatures rise, days get longer and warmer – there’s plenty we can do with fruit in the summer. Nothing beats a sweet, juicy piece of fruit to cool down, kick start a day or break up the office routine! Fruit delivery to homes and offices makes it easy for those of us who work 9 to 5 to add a tastier and broader variety of fruits and vegetables to our daily diet. We don’t have to spend time going to the grocer’s or market and choosing what to buy. With fruit delivery it is even more comfortable as you can select the veggies and fruits you want online, purchase them and then receive them without any trouble at the agreed time.
Let the Spring’s sweetest and juiciest fruits meet your table and delight your five senses with this delicious recipe!
✓ About 12 peaches cut in 8 wedges
✓ ⅓ cup granulated sugar
✓ ¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flower
✓ 1 ¼ cup light brown sugar
✓ ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
✓ ¾ cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
✓ 2 cups rolled oats
✓ 1 cup almonds, roughly chopped
How To Put Together
1. Heat oven to 180° Celsius. In a large bowl toss the peaches, granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of the flour. Transfer to a shallow 3-quart baking dish.
2. In a separate bowl combine the brown sugar, salt and the remaining ¾ cup of flour. Using your fingers, incorporate the butter until coarse crumbs form. Mix in the oats and the almonds.
3. Squeeze the topping into marble-size clumps and sprinkle on the peaches. Bake until the top is golden and the fruit is tender, 45 to 55 minutes.
