Movie night with some pals, watching some old classics and snacking as the evening passes by is an idea of perfection. But as we all know, crisps aren’t exactly good for you and too much fizzy pop is going to be a no-no for your health as well! Organising fruit delivery, stocking up on dip-sticks like celery or carrots and using your ingredients for a homemade salsa means you can tailor the taste of your snacks to the film you’re watching. Here’s a few ideas of our own!
Back to the Fruit-ure
Hover boards and Marty McFly conjures pictures of a classic America with a bit of twist – just like this avocado and tropical-fruit medley that’ll have you back to the kitchen at 88MPH for a second batch! Here’s what you’ll need – simply toss all of these ingredients in a bowl and watch as the timeless classic unfolds:500g of finely diced tropical: Kiwi, Pineapple, mango, and Papaya2 Avocados, pitted, peeled, and cut into 1/4-inch dice50g fresh, chopped, cilantroHalf a finely chopped Red Onion1 fresh Jjalapeño chile, seeded and finely chopped (add to taste depending on your love of spice!)2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, or to taste

Whether you’re in the original helping of the movie or the latest prequels to the movie, this fruit basket of joy is sure to be a hit for you and your guests.
For this planet conquering recipe you’ll need to mix together:100g of quartered seedless red grapes100g of quartered seedless green grapes100g of quartered seedless black grapes1 tomato - chopped¼ red onion - chopped1/4 serrano chile pepper – chopped (to taste)1 teaspoon of finely chopped garlic2 pinches ground cinnamon1 pinch ground clovesSalt and ground black pepper to taste
Refrigerate for around 30 minutes before serving to ensure you get the fresh taste of the healthy snack!
Ok, so Bond may be more interested in cocktails shaken, not chopped! But this Mojito inspired salsa really does utilise all the fruity gadgets you’ll receive in a fruit delivery. Quite simply, this (non-alcoholic!) salsa is one of our favourites and is perfect way to add a little bit of Savile Row class to your evening in front of the box.
For this simple tossed, not stirred, recipe you’ll need:200g watermelon ½ a cantaloupe 1 honeydew 1/2 large cucumber 1/4 red onion 1/2 avocado
All of the above should be chopped and diced!
10-12 mint leaves - chopped2 tablespoons chopped cilantro2 juiced limesSalt and Pepper to taste
